My only experience of them is non-BMW related, but I had them fitted to a Saab and they claimed it would give a 35mm drop. After fitting they gave a drop of around 40mm, and after settling they ended up with a 75mm drop at the front, and 50mm at the rear! Needless to say the front was on its bumpstops and the car completely undriveable. Eurocarparts took a few weeks to accept the springs were incorrect, I had to get independant assesments from motorsport specialists which they begrudgingly accepted and ended up giving me a refund for the springs, but not the fitting or removal costs tht I incurred.
i have been running ventura springs for the last 5 years with no problems at all --- although im pretty sure they lower 30mm front & 15-20mm rear
I've fitted Venturas onto a 535i and a A4 Quattro and they were pretty good on both, however I agree with the comments about the 'supposed' drop height. The BM sat too low at the front (18'' Qualifiers) and so rubbed the arch on full lock, and the A4 sat lower at the back but got away with it (both had stock shocks and still handled quite well). Saying that, I have Eibachs on my Porsche 928, which is a heavy bugger, and with new Boge dampers it feels great with a nice compromise of comfort and 'surefootedness' when practising.... ahem.... spirited driving!!! If funds allow I'd recommend the Eibachs every time.
